Join Brussels’ second annual Yoga and Vegan Festival at one of Brussels’ most spectacular venues, Be-Here. You can participate in all-day Yoga and meditation sessions, treat your taste buds to some delicious plant-based foods, try henna body art, enjoy relaxing massages, attend talks on subjects of health and well-being (including mental health), and end the day with fun Bollywood dancing.
We are planning to schedule multiple Yoga/meditation sessions at the festival. Yoga and meditation teachers from different backgrounds are coming together to teach at the festival and give you an amazing Yogic experience. Doing Yoga and chanting with like-minded Yogis would be a divine experience in itself. Imagine, what positive vibes we will create together!
This October 2nd marks the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Organised close to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the festival is a celebration of ‘Ahimsa’ (non-violence) – the most famous ideal of Gandhi ji. Ahimsa is also the first and foremost ‘Yama’ (self-restraint), which must be practised by a Yogi, as described in Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga – the ancient treatise on Yoga.
Visit the festival to find out how easy it is to go vegan and stop the violence against animals. The festival is supported by India in Belgium (Embassy of India, Brussels).
All-inclusive Day Pass: €8 (online in advance); €10 (on the day)| Free for children
No charge to visit the stall area. Please note that the day pass entitles you to attend ALL classes, workshops, talks and activities. Entry to classes is on a first-come basis so you may have to queue at busy times, but it will be worth the wait. We request you to kindly vacate the room after attending the class and join the queue should you wish to attend consecutive classes. We have created different rooms in the venue for running all-day-long Yoga/meditation sessions, talks on mental health, and sessions for children. There are also stalls areas where you can find vegan beauty products, accessories, bags, shoes and lots of yummy vegan food with gluten-free options. There is something for everyone at this lovely festival so bring your family and friends along.
Please Bring Your Own Yoga Mats
Our teachers have varied linguistic backgrounds – we have a mix of French, Dutch, German and English. However, to make the classes accessible for all, the classes will be in English but there will be volunteer translators who can translate the instructions in French as and when needed.
