June 21st day is celebrated as International Day of Yoga around the world with many events being organized to honour the ancient spiritual practice that has benefited millions of people. The city of Dublin is also going to join in! A massive outdoor Yoga event is scheduled to take place in Grand Canal Square on Saturday, June 22nd from 10.30am-12pm. It’s free for all and thousands of Yogis are expected to do Yoga together during the event organized by Embassy of India and Dublin City Council. It will surely be an awesome sight.
Wow! Dublin’s Biggest Celebration of World Yoga Day This Saturday; June 22nd
The event begins at 10.30am. The first up on the programme is chanting. The chanting of Vedic shlokas (brief songs) is certain to set the mood right for the rest to follow. Next up will be the Yoga class based on international Yoga protocol. It will shortly be followed by a beautiful presentation of choreographed Yoga poses by Yoga Therapy Ireland. The programme ends with the spectacular performance of Indian Classical Dance, Bharatnatyam.
Tea and fruit will also be distributed to the attendees.
