Greenwich Yoga and Vegan Festival

Note: Online ticket sale has been ended but you can now buy buy tickets on the door. Please note that some of the classes are sold-out. The entry fee is £5 per class; free for children. Besides paid classes, there are many free classes, workshops, talks and classes for children. Your £5 ticket entitles you to attend all these sessions. Please bring cash if you purchase to tickets on the door. Remember to bring your Yoga mats. We’re looking forward to welcoming you at the festival today. Thank you for all the love and support.

Join the second edition of Yoga and Vegan festival in Greenwich at the beautiful campus of The Halley Academy. Participate in all-day Yoga & meditation sessions, enjoy yummy vegan and raw vegan food, shop for vegan products and attend talks.

Tickets

Entry fee starts from only £3. We will schedule Yoga/meditation classes in three halls at the festival. Each session will be 45 minutes long and will cost £3 . You can book the sessions in advance and pay only for the sessions that you want to do.

The £3 (per session) ticket also gives you access to our stall, talks and outdoor area as well. You can stay for as long or as little as you like. If you want to attend more than one sessions, you are welcome to do that – you just need to buy more tickets as every session has a ticket of its own. Everything can be booked online and you will be guaranteed a space in the class of your choice.


Not interested in classes?

If you are not interested in Yoga classes and only want to come to enjoy the stalls area, talks, free indoor sessions and outdoor activities, you can buy a £3 ticket titled ‘Entry to Stalls+Talks+Outdoor Activities’. So, there is something for everyone at our festival. You don’t have to be a Yogi or vegan to have fun at the festival. We are planning to have 80 vegan stalls at the festival 🙂

Please remember to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the time of your class. The checkin desks will be open all day. For example, if your class is at 2pm, you are welcome to check-in at 10am – we will scan your e-ticket and give a you paper ticket against it. You can then and hangout in the stall area, attend talks, participate in outdoor activities, step out or just chill until your class starts.


Other Details

All children below the age of 14 years will get free entry to the festival. There will be a ‘Lil Yogi Room’ with sessions exclusively for children. Children can also attend the normal Yoga classes with adults. We request you to not leave your children unattended at any time.

Parking: Please note that there are very few parking spaces inside the school. There are plenty of free car-parking spaces available on the street, but request you to use public transport. Please search google maps for the postcode SE38EP

Bring Your Own

Please help us reduce waste at this festival by bringing your own box/plate/cutlery/cups. All of our food/drink stalls will offer a discount if you bring your own. All of our stalls will only use eco-friendly cutlery but it still creates waste.

Vegan Food

Eat yummy vegan and raw vegan food prepared by our lovely food stallholders who will serve vegan and gluten dishes. Eat the perfect combination of health, spirituality, and taste! There is such a great variety of vegan food on offer that it can easily inspire anyone to #govegan. Please come to our fest to taste the goodness of plant-based cuisine. And all food stallholders have pledged to only use biodegradable, #ecofriendly cutlery. You can also get discounts from some stalls if you bring your own bowl 🙂 Please help make this fest #Zerowaste!

Yoga for Kids

Please bring your children along: There will be two yoga classes for children. Remember that there is free entry for children at all of our festivals.

Kirtan (Spiritual Chanting and Music)

Take your soul on a musical journey during the Kirtan sessions at Greenwich Yoga and Vegan Festival. Kirtan is part of an ancient form of Yoga known as Bhakti, or the Yoga of Devotion. It can comprise of hyms and chants that have been sung since time immemorial by sages, sinners, devotees, and yogis.You don’t have to a singer to take part in the Kirtan sessions. You can just hum along. Our Kirtan leaders will guide you.

Acro Yoga

Experience the lovely energy and  magic of acro yoga for you at the Greenwich Yoga and Vegan Festival. The teaching style is super friendly so even total beginners can join. We can promise you that you will fall in love with acro yoga. The acro Yoga workshops will be either indoor or outdoor depending on the weather.

Talks

Attend talks presented by eminent speakers on the subject of Yoga, meditation, mental health and veganism.

Shop for vegan and 100% cruelty-free products at Greenwich Yoga and Vegan Festival. Our stallholders are ethical small traders – many of the products that you will find at the stalls are hand-made.

Odissi Dance Perforamance by Devaki
@ The Main Stage| 3.30pm

Get ready to be amazed by the art and grandeur of the Odissi Dance at the Greenwich Yoga and Vegan Festival. The Classical Indian Dance style of Odissi from the eastern province of Odisha, India dates back thousands of years.. its postures can be found in temple sculptures. Known for its flowing circular movements, beautiful feminine aesthetics and rhythmic footwork Odissi dance can bring deep expression, physical embodiment, strength and joy.

The dance is being performed by Devaki. Devaki began her studies in Classical Indian dance at the age of 5, in Seattle USA, continued in Vancouver Canada and London UK. She is a certified Hatha Yoga instructor & an MA Dance Movement Psychotherapy trainee. She has taught workshops and classes internationally for over 20 years receiving numerous testimonials of excellence of delivery, content and pleasure the participants gained from discovering this beautiful art-form.She currently teaches private classes in South Norwood and is a passionate, dedicated teacher who seeks to share knowledge and passion for this dance style with participants, connect through the dance, to bring a sense of well-being, release and wonderment.

Yoga Performance by The Child Prodigy, Ishwar Sharma
@ The Main Stage| 12.30pm

We are delighted to have the little Yoga genius, Ishwar Sharma, perform at Greenwich Yoga and Vegan Festival. He is going to perform at the main stage.

Ishwar has been called “Youngest Wonder Boy”by the OM Magazine. He is the current under 11 UK national yoga champion for 2 years and is also the winner in the under 8 world championships in both individual and artistic yoga.

He performs Vedic yoga with choreography to music, which includes hatha yoga postures with acroyoga and artistic yoga. He has performed in more than 100 various national and international events. He has performed in many charity events and raised funds for the underprivileged. Notable vents include ‘World yoga championship in Italy, World Games in
Kathmandu, Nepal and European Yoga Sport Cup championship in Prague

Ishwar has been finalist in British Indian of the year award 2017. He has featured in many television programs to promote yoga including the BBC, ITV, ZEE TV, NDTV, News 9 etc. He has had several articles written about him in various newspapers and journals.
